submit to the Computers & Writing conference

October 27th, 2009 Comments off

Students,
The 2010 Computers and Writing conference will be May 20-23, 2010, at Purdue University. Anyone in this class probably teaches writing with technology, and that’s the point of the (small, friendly, cheap) conference. You all should submit a proposal. They are due Saturday (Halloween) at midnight.

btw, the grad school offers travel funding if you promise to present at the spring research symposium AND the Graduate Research Network (which faculty member Angela Haas co-directs) also offers travel awards (info available after January, I believe). The reg. fee is high (usually around $125 for grad students) but includes all meals for 4 days. Accommodations include cheap dorm rooms, so the total conference cost may only be about $300 for you, if you carpool. (We’ll try to work out details for this closer to.) You can easily cover that with both of these travel awards.

Cheryl.
